Now most people know that one of my passions is photography, now I am not the best at it but I love doing it. Most of the time the pictures come out pretty good but every once in a while something goes wrong. Like I take a perfect picture and some thing is not right. Now as you know I love animals any and all kinds. So I have this picture of some dear that is very nice except there is a fence running across the photo. I have never had to remove something from a photo (because of course I am such a wonderful picture taker ), so I decide to use Adobe to remove the unwanted fence, now I have never done this before but have a friend who can use that clone tool to perfection so I figure how hard can it be. How hard?!!!!!! After three hours I am ready to pull my hair out and I still have deer with a fence line running though them because no matter what I do you can see the clone marks on the deer, grass is ok but the deer, oh my!! Needless to say I need a lot of practice or better yet make sure nothing get in there that don’t belong. So below is two pictures one of the dear with the fence, the reason I like it so much is it shows without question why they are called white tail deer and also I like the whole tongue thing on the other deer. So below is my half cloned photo, which I will continue to work on and maybe at a later date I will be brave enough to show you. Plus one of the same deer without the fence.

A few weeks ago one of my sister (you remember I have five) Connie gave me an Artist Trading Card and informed me that I had to return the favor (in fact she gave me two, my daughter one, and Sarah my granddaughter one) so the next day I set out to do as requested. Until that night I had no idea that such a thing existed and since I am staying at my son’s place I have nothing to craft with ( almost nothing!!) so off to Michale’s we go. Now my Granddaughter takes after her Grandma and has some talent when it comes to drawing, so we decided she could draw something for her card. Then there is Hope whom the artistic gen jumped right over, she is in to peace signs, so she is doing one with peace things on it. As for myself I am undecided, so I will wait. After spending an undisclosed amount of money we head for home. Hope has a date with a friend that night so Sarah and I set to work. Now Sarah is very talented and she draws her bird and we make her card (which turned out very nice). Now about this time Hope comes home and wants to make her card, I do not know if I have told you about my sons new puppy, she is seven months old and loves to chew (need I say more) and some how she got hold of Hope’s rhinestone peace things and she had rhinestones all over the floor. Now you see Hope is headed back to Florida the next day and Michales is closed so every one is on the floor picking up these tiny things as Hope glues them one by one on the card to make a peace sign. Any way I have now made my Artist Trading Cards. I thought maybe you would like to see what a ATC looks like, the first two my sister made (the cute baby is yours truly). Second two I made.

So who thought you could be friends with a tortoise but last night Sweet Apple and I became good buds. Last night she ate out of my hand and also my sons hand. She is very fond of spinach so as you can see she is eating out of my sons hand.

Every morning when I wake I am greeted by my two dogs Cloudy and Gracie. Now besides being rudely awaken by an over abundance of very sloppy kisses, I have these two sorrowful faces begging me to go outside. Now being the alpha person in this Zoo I feel an obligation to see that this happens, so being the smart person that I am I go to the door  and yell “The Dogs Need To Go Out” to my son who is sleeping soundly  in his nice warm bed. ( First problem of the day solved)  Now I know you are thinking what has this got to do with the tortoise, nothing really I sometimes get side tracked. As you may recall I share a room with Boris/Sweet Apple, so it has become one of my alpha duties to take care of the tortoise. So every day I change his lagoon water, today is no different and after I drag him out from under his moss (his favorite hiding place) I place him in his nice warm water. Now if you recall I told you about how these guys use the water for drinking, bathing and crapping. You see I am not an expert on poop but who knew that tortoise poop looked like white putty. Being the intelligent alpha person that I am, I do what any intelligent person would do, I go to the door and yell “Hey Bill Sweet Apple pooped in her water and somebody has got to clean it.” (Second problem of the day solved) Can’t wait to see what the third problem is.!!!!

Echo is my choice of topics to talk about today, and as you can see  from the photo of Echo you can tell she is green. but she is also yellow, red and blue with a little bit of orange tossed in there for good measure. As you can see she is mostly yellow and green, Echo is a Double Yellow Headed Amazon, she is ten years old and I have had her since she was 6 months old. Now to say Echo is an amazing bird falls far short of the mark, she is spectacular. Now I know you are all thinking I might be a little on prejudicial side, but trust me on this one.  OK? When I got her she knew how to do the wolf whistle and say “Hello”, now talks non stop and I mean non stop! She can make  the phone ring, answer it by saying “Hello” and then call for my husband “Hey Bill, Hey Bill” and he has been dead almost seven years.  She sings non stop, Old McDonald Had A Farm, is one of her favorites mine on the other hand is Echo Echo Echo Echoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, and she knows it, so when I am tic off at her she well belt it out at the top of her lungs. That is what she is doing in the picture below, sometime it works and sometimes not, this time it did. She can sing several song, laugh, cry, play hide and seek but her favorite is tickle tickle, she sticks out her claw and lets you tickle her. She knows about 150 words give or take a few. Now I don’t want you to think she is a little angel all the time because she can be a little stinker when she wants  but I love her. She can be very very loud at times, that is why both my homes are on lots of land, now my son on the other hand lives in an apartment and only time will tell on that subject!

Echo Echo Echo Echooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

We have an update, Apple is eating!! She has not been feeling the best and has had us all I little worried. After a new tank, another light that makes four,changing the bedding, buying live plants adding moss that we spray with water four or five times a day, soaking her twice a day in her new larger lagoon, a heating pad under her tank. She comes out of her hide box looks around and decides that she is going to eat the moss, now tortoise eating moss dose not sound like a big deal but you see we have bought all kinds of greens, veg, fruit and she has refused to eat.We have gotten all kinds of information from everybody, tank not hot enough, tank to hot, not enough humidity to much it goes on and on. Today Apple decided to fix the problem her self and eat her special salad. Bottom line is, whatever we did worked and she is eating. My personal impression is that she is just like any other  woman and she was on a diet!!!

So hello world, I am home safe and sound from my surgery and all is well in my Michigan Neighborhood but I am kind of sad and missing my Arizona Neighborhood. It is not that I am not happy in this part of my world because I am,  it’s just so beautiful in that special part of my world that I would like to share it with you. So take a look at a very special sunset from my front porch and you will see at why I love it so much.

Yes the day has finally arrived, I am headed for surgery. Nothing big or to serious but still there is always that little nagging thing in the back of your head. So to all the people in my word I love you and think only nice thoughts.

BORIS IS A GIRL!!! We took Boris to the Veterinarian today to make sure everything was alright and he is a she!!! So of course since Boris is a girl my granddaughter is adamant that no longer can the name Boris be used, so world meet Sweet Apple forever to be known as Apple. Now you know that of course the Vet would have a list of things that we just had to get for Apple (formally known as Boris). So off we go to PetCo again, they know my son by name we have been there so much this last week. Another light, (not enough UV rays), a heating pad for under the tank( needs more heat), some timothy hay, the list goes on, if this keeps up we may have to give Apple a hat and cane and teach her to do a soft shoe shuffle to pay for her up keep!! What is the punishment for Blog theft? My grandson just  pirated the picture I  took of him and my son and sent it to his blog, before I could post it to my blog. Now I know I am new to this Blog thing, but there are rules and I am sure picture pirating must be covered somewhere by the Blog Department or such. Like his Grandfather always said, what go around comes around.

So William, revenge is sweet!!!!!
