For the last few months I have been playing this game at our local VFW Hall. Now to say I suck at this game would be an understatement and to say I was a standout in the real game would be a little much but come on this is a stupid computer game! How hard can it be? Pretty hard let me tell you but that is not the problem. Problem is when they draw numbers to see who is your partner, I swear the whole room holds their breath. Anyways one of the men who plays also has been giving me pointers like where to stand, where to point the pretend ball that kind of stuff, to now avail. So last week he brings in his Wi Game for me to take home and practice. He would be proud of me, tonight I bowled a 203 game. Now if I can just figure out to get my TV set down to the VFW I will have it made!

How do you say I am sorry to a Road Runner? Still no Jake, two nights and an empty bowl!!! They say they are territorial and it is Spring ( or almost in AZ) so maybe he is out looking for a date. Oh I forgot they mate for life, so chance are he is out looking for the Old Lady. They have been making little Road Runners for a few years in my yard. Oh a thought, maybe Jake is a Jackie and she is out looking for the Old Man and we know that is going to take longer. So I can hold out hope that in the next few night the bowl on my deck will hold Jake or Jackie again.

Internet says that Road Runners do not go Beep Beep but I beg to differ with them. Last night I think I may have sent Jake away for ever, you see I have these flood lights that I turn on when I take my dogs out at night. Dogs want to got out, I flip on flood lights. What to my disbelief do I hear but the fading Beep Beep sound of Jake, he must have been in the tree by the light when it came on and got spooked. Now unless there was a angry Ford in my yard blowing its horn Road Runners do go Beep Beep. Jake is not in his bowl tonight and I am sad.

Sharlet, if you guessed that name you are right but sorry there is no prize for being right, just my sincere thanks for taking the time to do so. Yes, it has been a very long time to say the least and you know I could give you a bunch of crap, like I have had some health problems ( which I have but that is another topic) or I have been to busy ( which would be a lie), I think sometimes we just get caught up in our own little world and time just gets away from us. Things are pretty much the same with me, still in Arizona, still playing tag with Jake the Road Runner who spends his nights in a bowl on a shelf by my back door ( have a picture which I will try to post, new computer, we will see), he cracks me up, other than that everything is pretty much the same. Oh, I lie, I am going to have a new grandson in March and that I am excited about, that will make 5 Grandchildren. How fun!!

Yea, yea, yea, I know, you thought I must have died but I am alive and kicking. Maybe not as high as I would like but kicking anyway. So I hope the last year was good to everyone out there who pays any attention to me. Wasn’t my best year some health problems, won’t go into that. Like they say, if You listen to mine I would have to listen to yours and you and I both know we have better things to do with our time except I can’t think of what that might be. Lost my brother last year, I loved him very much and miss him every day. So as you might guess I am more than pleased that 2014 has come and gone.
Now anybody that knows me well knows that I am the oldest of 10 and no I am not telling you how old I am (just pretty old)what I am trying to say is we have been pretty lucky to make it this far without the lose of one of us, not that makes it any less painful it dosent. On a happy note he has a new Granddaughter named after him Marla Ray and I know he would be so proud of her.
Spring has sprung in my Meadview world, my Roses are in bloom, the Joshua Trees have bloomed and the wild flowers are dancing in the desert and they make me happy.
So like they say time is the best healer of all.
Nice to be back around and I hope o catch you again soon

I would like to announce the birth of Baby Road Runner, yes there is a Baby in the nest. Jack is being such a good father also, I was unaware that the male Road Runner is the incubator of and the feeder of the Babies. Watching them build the nest in my Mulberry tree was fun just to think that maybe there might be Baby Road Runner and now there is! Jack has been setting on the nest for the last couple of weeks and a couple days ago he was back on top of the cabinet by the door at night so being the Mother Hen that I am I worried and fretted every time he be on to of the cabinet thinking maybe some thing had gotten into the nest, so yesterday I could not stand it any more, how to see in the nest, I would need a ladder. A LADDER you say ho no it would never do. You see I can barely walk let alone stand on a LADDER! So I got my little camera and put the camera over the nest and started taking pictures, took 6 pictures and this is the only one that you could see anything at all and low and behold there is Baby Road Runner! I will keep you posted but for now met Baby Road Runner.
My World is Fun, hope yours is also.

Just when I think I have caught up with the world again, I find out that once again as my Dad use to say I am “A day late and a dollar short.” All I want to do is buy my Grandson Gus a United States Savings Bond for his birthday, maybe start him on the road to saving for his collage fund. Turns out this is not an easy thing to do any more, you see you can no longer buy Bonds at your local Banks you have to buy them on line so being the modern woman that I think I am I figure no problem. WRONG!!! Turns out as of January 1, 2012, the government no longer prints these wonderful jewels that we all coveted so much hoping that some day we would cash them in to pay for some wonderful dream we had. OK, I say to my self “Self you can do this” but first I need to get social security numbers for Gus and his Dad, no problem right, so I ask my son. “Sure Mom I will get back to you” . Right but I give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and wait, so I do what any Mother would do, I go over his head and ask his beautiful wife, Gus’s Mom. Armed with the information I need I head for my computer to do the Google thing, (I love Google by the way you can find out any thing you want to know about) and look up Savings Bonds. After that it all is a big blur, if I read right I need to open an account to buy a bond and so dose Gus. Gee I know he is really smart for his age but I am not sure if he knows how to sign his name yet. Anyway it turns out that my computer dose not have an update enough operating system. Looks like I am still living in the dark ages.
Oh and don’t worry Gus, after all you are just going to be a year old on your birthday, Grandma has plenty of time to figure out the whole Collage thing!

About this post and you might ask how could this post be perplexing, well I will tell you! Trying to decide which category to place this post in is perplexing. Do I post it in My Friends because I want to tell you about some of them or do I post it in My Passions because it is also about that ,as you can see I am perplexed. Maybe I will just write the post and decide later.
One of my favorite things to do is play Bingo, will I am not so sure about that either (that is also a little perplexing) maybe it is just something that I have gotten use to doing and believe you me I sure do a lot of it. You see our local community center holds Bingo twice a week and as you may guess I tend to play twice a week there and any other time somebody says you want to go to the casino and play Bingo, I say sure why not. You see most of the time I have a choice as to if I go or not but you see I am beginning to think I might have a problem, now I know what you are thinking and no I don’t have a gambling problem. You see my problem is come October 1, 2013 I will have no choice but to go to bingo every Tuesday night because I am in charge of running the bingo and I am on one big losing streak! Now to my friends. You may or may not know that I live a long ways from civilization, so any time I or my friends have to go to the doctor we go to Vegas which is around 120 mile drive and you have to make the drive worth while, so we go to the casino. Best food and cheep, well then we might as well gamble which brings us back to Bingo! My friends Connie and Chuck and I have played so many set of Bingo and never won, ok so you might say it is the luck of the draw. Maybe but if you play Bingo with as few as 30 or so people and some people win three or four times and we never win you begin to think that not only our you wasting good money but a lot of good ink! Losing in the Casino is bad enough but it has started to carry over to the friendly games of Bingo in our local community center, only it is worse because there we sometimes only have 9 or 10 people and the same thing happens. One of my friends (and she knows who she is) wins so often that I think she should become a professional Bingo Player and I have told her this. Maybe she could challenge some of the players that win all the time at the Casinos, sure and then it would be like the football games and stuff and they could give odds and everybody could place their bets and maybe just maybe us losers could recoup our loses. OH no, not me, that would be GAMBLING!
BINGO, I am no longer perplexed about the category!
Till next time World, this is Just Stuff.
