Tonight I want to write about brothers, if you are lucky enough to have one ,then  you will understand why I feel sorry for those that don’t. When it comes to brothers I feel that I must have been standing first in line when they where passing them out! Now I know that you are thinking ” sure Sharlet and why do you think you are so special” well because I have four of them and they are all great. Now I didn’t always think that because nothing can get on your nerves faster than a brother except maybe four of them. When I think back  on growing up with them I have to smile, there is my brother Kevin who had and still has the curliest hair and oh how he hated it, he would spend all this time in the bathroom trying to straighten it he would wet it and plaster it to his head getting ready for school. We all knew what was going to happen, while we were eating breakfast, his hair would start drying out and the curls would start popping up like springs. We would laugh , he would get mad and the next day we would do it all again. He still has all those curls but I think he has given up trying to get them to go straight, or have you Kevin? Then there is Guy, good looking and smart, the only one of us to go to collage. God Mom was proud of him! He still is good looking and smart and we are all proud of him. Then there is Raymond my gentle giant, tall and strong but as gentle as a lamb. He has been sick and I pray for him every day, we all do.   What can I say about Bud, except that that boy got me in more trouble but then if you listen to him it was the other way around. I write this tonight I think because I have a birthday in a few days and sad to say I am the oldest of us ten, when I was younger it was ok being the oldest but now it is just not as much fun as it use to be. I love all my brothers but I need to thank Bud for all the time he spends with me and all the work he dose for me and sometimes I don’t even have to ask him.  Sometimes we forget to tell the people we love how much we appreciate the things they do for us. So Bud Thanks and to all my brothers and sisters just in case your don’t know it I love you all.

This is my sister Connie who is one of most gifted and talented people I know, but if you ask her she will be the first to disagree with you. That seems to be the same with all of us kids but if you ask any of us  we will all tell you that Connie is able to do it all. Now I really hate to say this but I am jealous of her and all her talents and until this she probably had no idea. So there Connie now you know. When Connie came to Meadview to visit me we had a blast, the spring flowers were outstanding and she hiked all over the place and took tons of pictures, the one below is one I took of her at the Lake Mead Over Look. Now rumor has it that she is going to drive out with  us when we go back in October and I am so excited. We will do the picture thing again and hopefully I can keep up with her. Good thing is that my brother Bud will be there so we can go in the Jeep to places we couldn’t go last time. So Connie you can’t change your mind, you have to come. Now the reason for this post is to make up for the picture of us all with my hand in front of your face. Now everyone can see how pretty you  are when my hand is not in your face.

If your Labor Day was as nice as mine then we will all go to bed tonight happy, safe and full.  My brother Guy and his wife Judy had a barbecue today in their backyard and believe it or not we actually beat the rain. Great food  and Guy I hear that the pulled pork was top notch but not being a pork person myself I will have to take my sons word that is was very good. For me the day was especially nice since I spend a lot of time out west I miss out on a lot of fun times. Besides having a chance to see my brothers and sisters and their kids an artist trading card center was set up in the middle of my brothers dinning room. Unfortunately for my sister in law Judy the crowd kinda spilled over into her kitchen (you may recall that I have 9 brothers and sisters so anytime we get together in one spot it is a crowd)  but much to her credit she managed to pull off a superb meal. Back to the trading center, trading was hot and heavy and after getting the pecking order right I came away with some very nice cards. You see with that many people, first come first served,  and this being the first trade  as soon as word gets around the next time you will have to take a number. Topping the day off, after coming back to my sons house I made book covers for my grand kids school books. All and all it was a great day in my world.

PS Bad note, took my camera and forgot to take pictures. Oh well next time.

So I thought I would introduce you to my family, it is not often that we all end up in the same place at the same time, there are a few of us. Anyways my niece graduated from high school and we were all there, so when ever that happens we try to take a photo and like I said getting us all together and standing still long enough to take pictures is not an easy chore. As the party was winding down and most people had left someone suggested taking pictures.  Now you know that by that time we were all very HAPPY and after several photos we started getting silly and wouldn’t you know that that is the one I like best. Why? Because that is us, not the posed stuff. So family I apologize in advance for this but I can’t help it. To my sister Connie I am truly sorry  for the hand in the face! You know it was an accident. So here goes, from left to right, my twin sisters Leah & Laurie, my sisters Dawn, Cheryl, Connie and of course me, in the front row my brothers Kevin, Guy, Raymond and Bud.
