During the last few days I have learned a lot about our newest Zoo member, our Russian Tortoise, I learned that she can eat non stop and devour a bag of mixed greens in less than a week, I learned that she loves to set in her food bowl while she eats and I have learned that she is not above using her food bowl as a bathroom and finds no embarrassment in doing so but the main thing I have learned is that Tortoise Poop is just like any other animal poop on the face of the earth, Brown. If you check back in my past posts, you will see that what I thought was poop and looked like white putty is, I don’t know. I know what it is not, it is not poop because since she chooses to use her food bowl as her bathroom daily, I can unequivocally tell you Tortoise Poop is not white. Now you may wonder why I even care, I don’t! I just need to admit to my mistake, which for me is hard to do!!! Like my brother Bud says ” I am never wrong, I thought I was one time but then found out I was mistaken.”

I know you favor the same Sweet Apple. However, I think she looks more like a Boris. Those tortoises do have incredible appetites. We had friend who had one for eons. There was not a plant in their yard that had leaves or branches on them as high as she could reach. Sooo, with your new love here, should I be looking for tortoise stamps for you?
